Log into the Sculpto app from your smartphone, tablet or computer, browse between a huge catalogue of 3D models, or design your own in whichever 3D modelling program you wish – we support virtually all programs. Once you have chosen what you want to print, you simply select high, medium or low resolution and then press print, and let the Sculpto 3D printer handle the rest.
There are hours of fun to be had and endless possibilities for bringing your ideas and inventions to life. You’re only limited by your imagination.
The Sculpto 3D printer
We have completely redesigned the traditional 3D printer with the intention of making 3D printing much more accessible and user-friendly. We have dropped the Cartesian coordinate system, where the print head moves from side to side and have instead devised a 3D printer, which runs according to the bipolar coordinate system.
This helps to make the Sculpto 3D printer much more compact than other 3D printers on the market. You can print large subjects the width of a football and the height of an iPhone 6 Plus, despite the fact that the printer only takes up 23% more than its print area.
Another massive advantage to the Sculpto 3D printer’s design is that it requires fewer parts to build than other 3D printers, which is why we can sell it at a competitive price to a more diverse range of markets.
Last but not least, it is incredibly portable and can be moved easily from room to room. You don’t even need to worry about calibration – our design ensures minimal calibration.
The Sculpto 3D printer prints using a biodegradable plastic material called PLA, which is manufactured from sugar beet and corn. It is not hazardous to health and does not emit any dangerous fumes while printing. PLA comes in rolls called filament, which can be bought on Sculpto’s webshop in 0.5 and 1 kg rolls.
There is a wealth of colours on offer and we are adding new, cool varieties on the webshop all the time. This includes filament that is approved for food and 100% water repellent. You can also get glow-in-the-dark filament and even some that changes colour according to temperature.
It’s possible to print 90 iPhone covers from one roll of filament (1kg).
